Padded Cell!

Padded Cell!

Didn't find your answer?

I visited a HMRC Office this week with a colleague. Our meeting was on the sixth floor. We were interested to note that the lift had padded walls. Is that for the benefit of staff or visitors, or both?

It's to save you time.

Just bang your head on the wall - then leave - it will have much the same effect as talking to HMRC.

Funny, the company I work at had a VAT Inspection and your description (C_D) is entirely accurate.  On the other hand, the company's Corporation Tax Inspector is a lovely bloke, really pleasant.  And pretty smart I'd say.
