PAYE agent account, more miscoding.

Just a heads up, not a question.

Didn't find your answer?

Further to previous (computer) coding errors as reporterd inter alia here:-

https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/any-answers/hmrc-portal-rant-0

Latest is if you are in the agent tax account and try clicking on the 'breadcrumbs' e.g.

Agent services home > PAYE client list > Client home

Then any other than the 'Client home' option tries to resolve to a localhost address so you get a "This site can’t be reached localhost refused to connect." error message.

Obviously someone's been playing with the coding and hasn't properly tested it.

Who on earth would think that testing on localhost is a robust test of a network designed interface to anything?

To be fair when I was developing certain web based systems I would always set up and test, test, test in a localhost environment. Difference, which clearly hasn't been done in this case, is as soon as I uploaded I would test again in the live environment.

You always test on localhost before moving it to a live site. Nothing new there, although most competent developers would have some sort of settings file which automatically updates any references to localhost to the actual domain.
