PAYE Late Payment Notices

PAYE Late Payment Notices

Didn't find your answer?

A "is this just me question"

We have had half a dozen notices from director only payrolls that the quarterly nil PAYE return notice has not been received.

Is this just us or has HMRC payroll gone funny? They seem rather late for the last Q so not sure if they have been reset to monthly or my assistant is being forgetful when she says she did them all.....

just had a client call

to say received a reminder but thought he had paid - anyone else? - but I thought that I was the correspondence address

His quarterly payment is the grand sum of £2ish NIC.

Haven't recieved reminders (yet) for the more substantial quarterly payroll I run

We just had

one in today.

A company that used to have tax and NI each month, now (since April) pay two directors below the threshold. The company has not filed NIL to pay P30's so I guess HMRC are just catching up. We filed online NIL to pay today and hope not to hear any more from HMRC.

We had a policy of filing NIL PAYE reports when reminded, but

the revenue never seemed to cotton on to which businesses had nothing to pay, and the demands kept on coming.

We now make NIL PAYE filings as part of our month end procedure (where appropriate, obviously!).

We had the conversation yesterday as to whether we should adopt submitting NIL to pay returns for our clients. Before deciding does anyone know what impact  RTI will have next year?
