Payments to Freelancers

Correct Procedure

Didn't find your answer?

I run and operate a website, and all the people i work with are freelancers based outside UK. They provide a variety of services to me such as "writing content, SEO, etc". They are required to raise an invoice and send it to me, once i receice the invoice i make the payment using Azimo (an online money transfer company). Recently, i've heard that paying freelancers requires some sort of specific rules to be followed. Can anyone advise please what these rules are? Thanks

I can only assume that the “specific rules” you have heard about are those that require you to ensure that your freelancers aren’t really your employees.

Why not ask the person you heard from to give you a clue that you might pass on to this forum.
