A client who runs a pub is looking for payroll software - recommendations please.
There are a number of part-time employees (maybe 40 or more in a year). They currently have book-keepers using Sage Payroll, but problems arise when an employee wants a copy payslip for an earlier week - once Sage is closed off then it would have to be restored to that week to redo a payslip. Obviously they could print out file copies of each payslip each week, but that would use up a lot of paper and space.
I use PAYE Master for my clients but that does have the same problem.
They are considering doing the payroll themselves manually, which seems to me like a huge waste of thime and effort. The employee who would do this is computer-literate so should be no problems with software. I'm not very keen on Sage payroll anyway and I think it would probably be far too expensive for that number of employees. Can anyone suggest an alternative - nothing too expensive, please!
