After many years with the same payroll provider we now have to look for an alternative.
I'm struggling to find a system that caters for our size of business (2500 employees). We are also slightly complex in that we are multisite (55) and basic data input is done at regional accounting centres.
Can somebody please recommend providers that they would think are suitable.

when working at large photoshoot company, our the payroll dept. was using Star. There were processing payrolls to UK, IE and Aus staff.
Not sure about the ability of syncronising the data between different centres though.
I used to work at Baker Tilly, and during my time there we handled larger and more complex payrolls than yours. They work with Star and Payrite, and so have software specifically designed for this type of payroll.
May be worth a shot.
Earnie IQ (from Iris) (which I used in a previous company) should be able to cope with the volume. Also user access can be restricted to certain employees / areas, and you cannot update the same employee at the same time. However it is a traditional client / server model, which relies on being able to connect to the server, and having the client machines updated when updates are released.
