Payroll software recommendations

Client Payroll software recommendations for multiple clients please?

Didn't find your answer?

Hi Please can anyone recommend payroll software?

We've been using Moneysoft Payroll Manager and found it fine for many years but we've been struggling with it lately as it appears to be considered by google and virgin to be an insecure app and I am not tempted to allow insecure apps to run tbh!

Does anyone have any exeperience with Brightpay?

It looks good from the outside!

Thanks in advance

Is that actually causing any issues?

It's due to how it authenticates with gmail. Gmail wants software that connects to it to be granted authorisation.

You can still set an app-specific passwords for things like Moneysoft to send emails via SMTP, but it will be less secure of course.

Not an issue unless you want to send payslips directly out of the software.

Hi Daniel

Thanks for your post, yes I have read about the Gmail and Yahoo email issues. I use Outlook for email and must admit that not being able to email directly from Payroll Manager as a pain tbh.

Hi Wanderer, as far as I can tell yes it is, so far its meant we can't email client payslips (using Outlook). We use Virgin for out internet and following maintenance work earlier this month their router considers the Payroll Manager application to be insecure....Doh...I hate changing software but think I will for 2020-21 tbh.

Get Brightpay. It's as close to faultless as you'll ever see in payroll software.

I'm the biggest fan of Brightpay ever. Used them for years - even before they were Brightpay. Can assure you you will have no issues with it other than wonder why you didn't change years ago. It is so use friendly in all aspects - payroll through to AE & with a "bolt on" allowing self service which my clients love.
Go for it. You wont be disapointed

BrightPay is excellent all round.
It's handling of Auto Enrolment is intuitive, prompting the user whenever necessary. It links easily with a number of pension providers, working especially smoothly with NEST, enabling enrolments, contributions and payments to be dealt with from within the software itself.
It deals with salary sacrifice without a problem.
CIS is built in.
It's cloud based facility enabling clients and employees to access payslips etc is very useful and easy to use.
I would thoroughly recommend it - it has only improved over the several years that I have had the pleasure of using it.

We are a 100% cloud based practice and use MyPAYE along with other apps. Yes it costs more however, we can complete payroll very quickly and there is no keying in of any data.

I have used Brightpay in the past and found it a excellent product and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Hi Daze

How good is MyPAYE, is it user friendly and does it integrate well with Xero? I am also changing software in April 2019 for a single company under 100 employees. I want the new software to be cloud-based and I have been looking at The Payroll Site.

My PAYE is very good and dose link with Xero. For our large payroll clients we link Deputy and Telleroo which speeds up the payroll no end.

My PAYE has all the functionality you will ever need although Brightpay is just as good we chose My PAYE as we wanted all of our software to be cloud based.

My Paye Ltd and its partner ELDECKS are excellent and are the only fully payroll bureau and single business that is fully cloud with double Authentication, encrypted email reports directly to clients and payslips. We have been using it for 4 years now I cannot praise it enough.

The support is fast and outstanding but very rarely need it and you can automate several payrolls in one go on the cloud as mentioned by others it integrates with XERO .

I am also looking to change Payroll software, currently using Moneysoft but because I am planning to switch to Mac I need to change.

Was happy that MyPAYE runs on the cloud but I think it could be much better. I found two small screens for entering pay and deductions - not practical. I think it is a difficult system to learn.
Was also surprised that it has no google reviews!

Now looking elsewhere probably BrightPay.
