Phone number to claim SEISS

Can a client telephone HMRC to claim the SEISS

Didn't find your answer?

I have a client and HMRC have their date of birth as June 2016 rather than June 1974 and so they cannot create a personal tax account and claim the grant. I have written to HMRC to change the date of birth but this will obviously take time. It was rumoured that there would be a telephone number for some who couldn't claim online. Does anyone know if this has happened or shouid I tell him to call the usual SA helpline?

Any thoughts appreciated

The 0800 024 1212 semi generic number works. Client did it the other day. Even without a Gov Gateway. make sure they have all that is needed to hand. Manual claim

Thanks both. Given the number to the client and hopefully he'll get sorted
