We have a client that has changed from being a plc back to ltd.

(1)The small companies regime does not apply to a company that F11... was at any time within the financial year to which the accounts relate—

(a)a public company,

You already know the answer but yes, one more year of audit and one more year of having to file full accounts and (if needed) one more year of consolidating.

We used to have at least three 'plastic PLCs' back when I started my career as the audit threshold was £300k turnover(!). As that rose, by 2008 all but one had reregistered and we had pushed hard for the last to reregister which they finally did by 2011.

I don't see any 'plastic PLCs' anymore.
