pricing for various services companies charge?

Just wondering on what people have used to price their various services to clients?

Hi

New to practice management and wanted to get an idea on what people charge and on what basis for the various services they provide such as accounts preparations for sole traders, Limited Companies, tax returns, VAT and PAYE? I think that we are undercharging and one of my aims is to ensure we charge the right price. Problem we have sometimes is that we sometimes are competing with one man band not qualified accountants.

Also I need to increase clientele so want to get an idea so as not to charge too much and not to undercharge. Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you read his book or attended his mentoring group sessions? Any good?

I attend his mentoring sessions and have read his books. You should try reading his books - you will find them on Amazon. Your socks will be blown off.

Try an easy approach first. Increase all fees by say 10%, if no one complains go back to the begining of the sentence and do it again.

It is almost impossible to say we charge £xcx for a company accounts unless you have control of the input ie the accounts data.

Prices are also goverened by where you are located eg is it London W1 or whitby. YOu may find that the first stage is to do some customer research and call some competitors or have a look on the internet

Bear in mind that within reason clients are paying for a service not a job.

Really, read this https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/tech/practice-software/proposal-software... , as Glenn Martin says. It has everything in there, including Mark Wickersham.
