Printers & Scanners

Printers & Scanners

Didn't find your answer?

We are looking to replace our laser printers with duplex printers and have been advised to look at the Brother HL5250DN and the Canon LBP3300, so before we rush out to PC World or Dabs with approx £200 have any members had any experience of either of them.

We have also been following the discussions re the paperless office and we are having a play with Rapport. Do any members have any thoughts on the Fujitsu Scan Snap FI5110E0X2 scanner.

Scansnap's are superb
I really can't recommend the scansnap highly enough. It is a superb piece of kit - and integrates perfectly with our Obsidian Document Management software (http://www.obsidianxdm.co.uk)

Best Regards

Dave

HP for printers
Hi Stephen

We have always found HP printers to be totally reliable and good value for money. However they have a reputation for problems with scanner drivers and I have experienced this myself. I don't, though, know of the best alternative!

Hewlett Packard - printers
We had used brother printers and found them to be unreliable and not upto the task of the amount of printing we put through them.

Since moving to HP printers (2420 series) we have had no problems at all.

Visioneer Strobe XP 450 high-speed scanner
Afraid not, but can recommend Visioneer Strobe XP 450 high-speed scanner. Had it for two years and it is excellent. Never had a problem with it.
