Private hire driver trading as a limited company

can PCO driver trade as a limited company?

Didn't find your answer?

I know PCO drivers are self employed

I recently got to know some PCO drivers are forming company and getting income from UBER into the limited company account

Can they really do this as the cars are owned personally, insurance premium is based on personal circumstance and paid personally too

besides there is possible consequence of use benfit NI as the vehicle is also used for personal purpose.

any other possible issues like IR35?

asked this question in July last year, 503 people viewed this post and no one dared to respond. Wonder where the tax Gurus are?

The answer is Yes they can do this if Uber are happy with it and if they follow all the relevant rules and regulations and Yes there are other possible issues

Whether it is worthwhile doing this will depend on the individual circumstances

Sorry for the delay in replying
