Hi all,
Accounts prepared using IRIS. I use Taxfiler for my CT600 preparation. For three cases recently, I have been unable to upload the XBRL accounts to Taxfiler as the following error message appears:-
"The file is not recognised as a valid XBRL or PDF file"
I have contacted Taxfiler and their help is, to say the least, uninspiring (they feel like deflecting respones to buy for time, and actually come across as meaningless).
So, I'm asking the AWEB community if they've had the same issue and, if so, what was the work-around, please?
Thanks.

Sounds like a problem with the accounts produced by IRIS. I know that Taxfiler are a part of IRIS but I wouldn’t expect them to support other IRIS products. Rather than ask Taxfiler what’s wrong with the accounts why not ask IRIS support why their accounts are not being recognised? Perhaps they’ve not tagged them correctly or you are using the wrong export option.
On accounting Web one sees marketing promotions on delivering excellent customer service, in a competitive market.
We now have Taxfiler, part of mega Iris, seemingly bouncing the problems back to the customer.
If we as the trusted advisor adopted the same attitude with our clients, we would soon be out of business.
Tax filer if you are reading this, please reach out to to the OP.
You may then be on the receiving end of a positive review on this site.
IRIS if you are reading this, you too could exceed expectations.
If you are up to the challenge, are you?
did you ever get an answer to this? I've got a set of accounts sent by another accountant with the same issue. looks ok in fact viewer in VT, but taxfiler won't accept it. I'm at a complete loss.
