Problems with Iris Open Space

Can't get "upload" button to respond

Didn't find your answer?

I've uploaded data for client to approve with great difficulty to Iris Open Space just now, but it's taken about 5 minutes to login and out to try to get the upload button to respond. I need to upload something else, and I'm just not able to do that. I've had this issue in the last month (I've not used Iris Open Space much up to now this year). I'm guessing it's something to do with the Taxfiler enhancements. But as we can't upload TF accounts to Iris OS as well, I'm uploading manually.
I've sent a message to support, but just wondered whether anyone else had had this problem.

I've just tried and it's working fine. Probably not what you wanted to hear :)

This sounds to me like it might be something to do with Javascript.
I suggest
a) Avoid Edge
b) Ideally try Chrome
alternatively
c) Use Firefox
If you are on Apple then Chrome does a better job of implementing JS than Safari.

Hi John - not it's not a Javascript issue. I always use Chrome and am on a PC. I think it's to do with the Taxfiler connection. I disconnected Taxfiler on Friday night and still had problems. Today I've been able to upload stuff manually again.

Using Chrome on a PC you can press F12 to go into the Developers Console. If you select the network tab and look what happens when you click the upload button you can see if your PC contacts the server (which means it is a server problem) or in fact it does nothing which is a javascript problem.

Anyone affected by the 7/11/2019 Openspace outage? it took down our entire IRIS system due to I believe bad programming on their part. Whilst it was technically not 'their fault' Azure went down why did the Accountancy suite refuse to load? why are their no 'checks' in the software to allow for a simple scenario such as a website being down? from a disgruntled IT Manager.

I had problems with Iris open space this morning, but it's working now and the other issue is not bothering me quite as much.
