Problems with new webfiling

Hi I wonder if anyone can help please.

I am very confused about what is happening with the new web filing (introduced Sep 12th)

Does this completely replace all other methods , is there a changeover period, or will both be run in tandem?

I have a company under the previous system of filing (I used two login screens, the first with my email and my own pw, and the second with my Co number and 6 figure authentication code) this is the system I have been using for years.

I dont seem to be able to access this using the previous system:

It says : Sign In Failed . Existing WebFiling and WebCHeck users must re-register (also it says invalid email and password) .

So I have set up a webfiling account. (which I want to use for newer companies). But when I try to add the previous above company to it, when it asks for the 6 figure authentication code, it says it is invalid. I know the code is valid because I used it for confirmation statement recently

Any advice would be gratefully received. I dont know if anywhere there is an overall explantion about what is happening / changing

My daughter charged with figuring it out but I have yet to hear from her

Also heard nothing from the software people that we use to file company accounts at Companies House.
I wonder who they gave the problem to?

Thanks for the links. It looks like there are some similar frustrations. There are some also replies for issues happening in April, but those seemed to be about glitches and cookies.

It would be good to get a fixed notion of what is supposed to be happening!

We have been having issues too. The normal Companies House web filing portal kept rejecting our log in details so we had to change the password.
This was then working but on another day the password was again rejected.

Companies house will try to help if you call and tell them of the issue. They make excuses though, they’ll ask you to clear cache and cookies (which I never understood how to do). These issues began 2 weeks ago and have caused hell for us, particularly as we could not file first year DCA accounts for 2 clients with stupid mid month filing deadlines.
The forms section on web filing also has errors. If you wish to file a DS01 the option within the link is unavailable as Companies house have issues and errors on their portal. Their system is being fixed but we are the Guinea pigs identifying the problems.
When accessing the CH or the normal web filing versions of the portal you need to say forgotten password and enter a new 8 character password including a symbol capital number along with the letters!
The new password prompt doesn’t tell you to choose the password like this until like the 50th bloody attempt! You also need to provide a mobile or email address for Companies House to send you a password prior to access hereon. This is added frustration dressed up as security.

Just tried the new service, which so far is okay.
However, this message appeared

"Try our new File a confirmation statement service.... If you have .....
You will not be able to pay with a Companies House payment account.".

So what happens for those of us who use the CH payment account?

I hope you get a response to that one but I imagine it’s because there are ‘bits’ unfinished. The DS01 disappearing is apparently an error to be fixed so it is possible that the account payment option will return. I get clients to pay their £13 or £8 over the phone. I hate that one year these filing costs amounted to over £600 so I am
not entertaining them anymore

What I hate most about this new system is that you lose your trail of ‘recent filings’ as you are not given the option to file
