PTP API returning errors - HMRC server down?

This afternoon PTP's API is returning errors. This usually indicates HMRC's API server is down. It was working ok this morning. Anyone else experiencing 2017 SA return API errors?

I can't load HMRC's website to the login page so I guess online services are down! If MTD was operational today it would be deadline day.

Payroll services down for maintenance, on the afternoon of the last working day of the month!

Hmm, and there was me going to file some VAT this afternoon.

Presumably the elastic band keeping the various system together has snapped, and they are busy trying to find some string to make it a bit more robust.

Would this affect co accounts filing at cos house too? I've got one sitting in my "pending" folder that doesn't seem to want to go through (or I'm not getting confirmation of accepted and it's not showing on webcheck either)

I managed to file a PAYE RTI return successfully at 14:40, so that part of the system still seems to be working.

I've been able to file returns using PTP so it only appears to be affecting the website/online services and APIs (ie anything that is/relies on HMRC software).

It said some Digital Services - carry on to self assessment but never got there. I was talking to Companies House this morning too and they were having issues too but they seemed to clear by mid afternoon

Agent services still down at 19.15. I have spoken with Online Services and they appear to have a major problem - they cannot even post an announcement about the service being down. As the service is down, if any CT Returns are late, they informed me that a reasonable excuse claim would be valid. Fortunately, I only have some VAT returns to file and they can go in on Monday - but clients will think that I was late filing!

Thanks HMRC! Might as well go and have a glass of something.

Sunday 10.00am
Agent services log in works now and can get into SA, CT, & VAT clients but can't access data through the PAYE client list due to Technical Difficulties

APIs are still broken but reporting a different error compared to Friday/Saturday.

APIs are now working: PTP phoned me late afternoon yesterday to say they've been investigating the problem and have stumbled across a work-around. Seems the problem on Friday had done something to the 2SV key. PTP deleted the key, I went through the agent 2SV process again and now the APIs are downloading correctly.
