Quickbooks desktop payroll to go?

Anyone else had the mail?

Didn't find your answer?

Evening all,

Received a mail from Intuit Quickbooks that I think is saying they will bin their desktop payroll software in April. Choices seem to be go online and or look for another software. Did anyone else get this email? Have I understood correctly?

Thanks all,

TGG

Use something like PAYEMASTER and just type the payrol info in to QB

they are trying to force people on to the on-line product and once everyone is dependent on it they will reall pull our pants down

yep that's right - time to research new options! The online option requires each company to have a monthly QB subscription plus £8 payroll subscription plus £1 per employee paid per month - will be expensive!

Sadly, you haven't read it wrong. I highly recommend BrightPay if that helps. It's very reasonably priced and easy to use. Best of luck!

As another user has said, could be time to move on to someone else! I can't recommend BrightPay enough. In the three years that I have been with them, I have seen nothing but increased functionality and ease of use. It also helps me by just having a Bureau price and not finding yourself charged for every additional payroll or employee.

How many employees do you have as BrightPay offered discounted software for the year if your needs are lower?

They do offer free trials and importing data is quite easy, I have taken on plenty of clients from QB, Sage, IRIS etc. and have always been able to just export data from one and drop it into BP.

Free support to customers is a big bonus too as I used to have to pay with my old software, despite not really needing to use it all that often!

Go with Brightpay to make your life easier. As per other comments I have used them
forever and a day. It is cost effective, simple to use, and great support (should you ever need it). Its a one off yearly price with no add ons for anything. You wont be disappointed

Thought it was worth mentioning, you can post payroll journals from Brightpay to Quickbooks via an API. My clients using QB love it.
