Quickbooks, Xero connectivity

Quickbooks, Xero connectivity

Didn't find your answer?

Is anyone having difficulty with cloud accounts software - reports don't reload or slow down to a stop?  At other times you just cannot sign in at all?  Another day it works fine, but the unreliability is rather concerning.

After having to postpone a client phone appointment because we cannot sign in to QBO, it gets quite frustrating.

We go through all the remedial steps we can think of, but nothing works.

this is sadly the downside to cloud accounting, there are many variables - the speed of the providers site, your internet speed, the number of users etc.
believe it or not sometimes it is a case of turning it all off and back on again (that worked for me yesterday)

Try whacking the PC tower, similar to this https://youtu.be/pJxYnn56yQs

On a more serious note, I do find reports / pages slow to load sometimes, but I don't usually have any problem logging in. When you had to cancel the phone appointment, out of interest, was it the case that you both had problems signing in or was it just one party?

If it was both, that eliminates internet connection issues and so I would be complaining to QuickBooks.

Re the cancelled phone appointment, it was just our side.

I should have said that we do try other things. In order to narrow things down a bit, we have two PCs set up in entirely different ways:

Computer A - Windows 10, service provider Plusnet.
Computer B - Ubuntu 17, using a different service provider, TalkTalk.

Everything else - including video streaming and skype - seems to work fine. We clear the cache, clear browsing history, tried different browsers, etc. Are the direct debits are being collected by Intuit - yes. What else could be wrong?

There seems nothing in common between these two computers except the Quickbooks account itself.

I agree that a more realistic response would be "give up and try again tomorrow". We still haven't tried slapping the PC though...

Could it be that after advertising, Quickbooks does not have the capacity to service the increased business?

I was recommended to move a couple of clients to Quickbooks online from Sage 50, however after over a week of trying to find out whether I can migrate data from Sage 50 version 24 to the package I am ready to give up.
I have spoken to various different support techs, done live chats, emailed them and just get passed from pillar to post. They certainly don't seem to be interested in customer service.
