Range Rover Sports

Didn't find your answer?

I initially thought car, until my client told me the vehicle is specifically used to tow a hoist lift into London for work.  He used to use a Van, but found it difficult to use with the hoist lift - hence replacing it with the Range Rover.

What would you do - treat as plant or Car?

Your initial thought was correct

It's a car - end of. Whatever he hooks up to the towbar doesn't change anything.

Double Cab?

It is a car, the primary purpose of the vehicle is to carry passengers, not goods, therefore will be very difficult to suggest to HMRC that it is anything other than a car, regardless of what it is actually used for.

Is he a sole trader or Ltd Co? Never mind the CA's, could be a very expensive B-I-K mistake if he has done it through a Ltd Co.

8% CA

Afraid so, less private use adjustments of course!
