Hi All
I have an off-shore (caribbean) Group of companies wanting to bring UK property into a new UK Group of companies, or possibly separate individual UK companies. There are several potential scenarios that we need advice on, which are bext explained directly.
I am happy to accept that the detailed in's and out's involved are beyond my knowledge.
Can anyone on here personally recommend someone who could deal with this (paying obviously, I am not expecting expert advice for free, other than the recommendation). Location not an issue, as presumably most correspondance can be done remotely.
Thank you

Thank you David, have you used Patrick yourself?
No but I’ve always understood him to be one of the preeminent SD/SDLT experts. Obviously he will be very expensive so it depends how much is at stake as to whether he’s what you’re looking for.
We've dealt with a number of these, although they're never exactly the same as those dealt with previously, and there is no "one-size fits all".
The SDLT, CGT and IHT effects need to be considered, and there are frequently historic IT/CT, ATED and SDLT issues that get thrown up. So it's never going to be cheap.
Patrick Cannon and Philip Ridgway are the two pre-eminent specialists in Stamp Tax matters, although there are others that can handle this sort of thing. Both are experienced tax barristers, so expect them to be even less cheap.
I have advised on such "onshoring" of UK properties re all UK taxes (SDLT, CGT, CT etc.) It's not that complicated. www.ated.co.uk
Like PC and PR, I am a member of the STPG and lecture on SDLT etc.
