I have just received an email from Companies House e-Reminder Service, saying the confirmation statement for my compnay is due and this is the second reminder. Luckily I know the confirmation statement is not due until January, but if I hadn't been fully awake I may have clicked on the document attached to the email or the email address link.
This is certainly a SCAM, so be aware, and warn your cleints . The "from" address given is: [email protected]
I can't find an address to report this scam to Companies House, but I'm sure it has arisen before.

The problem is that there are genuine such emails. I have had one which correctly identifies the date that the confirmation statement should have been submitted, and shows a "mailed by" address.
All the links in the email appear genuine, but I never click on a link in any email. If I need to navigate somewhere, I always navigate there myself (which still isn't foolproof), just in case.
This is the environment that the Government is trying to force all of us to use for highly confidential data with no opportunity to opt out. (MTD for example).
As usual, it is OK for those that are arrogant enough to assume that everyone can deal with these type of problems, but those less computer savvy will be like lambs to the slaughter.
I use keytime companies house filer checker.
