Tax Credit renwal

HMRC announce the start of the usual campaign to encourage tax credit renewals before the 31 July deadline.

My attemps today after signing on successfully (Gateway identity and password) and confirming my email address successfully result in a message 'your identity cannot be verified'.

This may be a vailed attempt to force setting up a Digital Tax Account but attempts to ask this question of the digital assisstant (Anna or ?) pushed me to a web chat advisor who simply replied:

invalid response received

responseText: responseXML: null

And that is how I now feel, digitally excluded, a null.

Anyone had any better responses!
