Remitting funds to theUK upon becoming UK resident

Is there anything I am missing

Didn't find your answer?

Hi All,

I would appreciate it if someone could confirm if my understanding is correct on the following scenario:

UK Resident/Domiciled person becomes a non UK resident for say 3 years, whilst being non resident and also when he/she comes back to the UK after 3 years and becomes resident again, the movement of funds between the two countries (which have arisen  from the overseas income) have no tax implications. e.g. some of the income received overseas which will be dividends from an overseas company are transferred to the UK to cover some personal UK outgoings and all of the overseas profits are transferred back to the UK after being received via dividend from overseas company.
