When the option to get data from HMRC direct into the tax return appeared I immediately tried it & it didn't work but PTP did advise that this was a general problem. Up to now, I have had clients who have readily produced all info that I might need from HMRC. However I now have a client who hasn't given me the state pension so have tried to do the link again. The routine didn't match how it was supposed to work according to the Help screens. However I did get a link to HMRC & signed into my tax account & all seemed to be going well until I got a message saying HMRC couldn't match any of my data with my account. As all I have put in is name, date of birth & NI number, I am a bit stuck. Do others get this to work successfully with PTP tax?
