RIFT

Has anyone claimed ?

Didn't find your answer?

I've been approached by a member of the Armed Forces wanting to know about RIFT as he's heard that he can claim back his travelling expenses

Hands up -  it's a new one on me and Google/HMRC don't offer help except pointing to a claim firm.

Has anyone claimed or have any knowledge of procedure ??

RIFT isn't a tax relief. RIFT are a kent based company offering 'specialist' tax claim advice. By that I'm sure you know what I mean. They cover PAYE refunds, capital allowance claims, etc etc.

I'm not sure whether any of them are formally qualified. Their business doesn't promote itself as having any form of CCAB association.

As for your potential new client - he will have been told (by RIFT and/or others) that he may be due tax relief on travel expenses incurred in commuting to a temporary workplace. You just need to decide if you agree or not.

Thanks to you both. I thought it might be a tax advantage specifically for the Armed Forces
