RTI submissions down?

Didn't find your answer?

I am trying to submit RTI submissions through Brightpay and they are just timing out.  Is there a problem with the government gateway today?  Is anyone else having difficulties?

Had a problem with a CT submission earlier today. Went through eventually but took an age.

Yes. Same here. Message box pops up in Moneysoft saying that HMRC are having technical difficulties at the moment.

Just sent a test submission through and I'm getting this message too.

MTD will be a lot better when I'm sending poimtless details of elderly widows' Tesco and Morrisons bills in.

Very pointless. Why not take advantage of the exemptions that are going to be offered?

We don't know that there are going to be exemptions at the moment.

Personally, I suspect the whole MTD will be watered down but we await further news.

Same problem here. HMRC website says full service but Brightpay say HMRC site is down.

The IRIS Menu is saying:

"HMRC Gateway

The HMRC Gateway is currently experiencing high volumes of activity.

You may encounter a message asking you to attempt your submission later."

Yes, I have experienced a delay submitting an RTI via BrightPay this morning. However I've since received an acknowledgement email from HMRC so in BrightPay I selected my RTI submission - clicked on 'send' - selected the option 'mark as sent & accepted by HMRC'. I hope this helps any BrightPay users out there.
BrightPay is now issuing the following message - 'HMRC are currently experiencing issues processing RTI submissions, you may experience slower submission and acknowledgement times'.
It would seem to be an issue with the response coming back from HMRC this morning.

All mine have gone through now with gateway confirmation emails received. So just a matter of being patient I think.

Will it make any difference if submission is made and response checked may be tomorrow?
With software’s being smart chances of rejection are nearly nil!

HMRC confirmed to me just after 2pm that the problem has been fixed. However there are a couple of instances on Twitter of people still experiencing difficulties with RTI filings.

Let us know here if the problem is persisting for you; I'm just seeking a diagnosis of the issue from HMRC now and will report shortly.

Maybe, or maybe not, what HMRC say about RTI problems being fixed is correct.

However currently (4pm 30th Nov 2016) the agent services pages shows (like it did earlier today):

" HM Revenue & Customs
Sorry, we’re experiencing technical difficulties
Please try again in a few minutes. "

So it appears that HMRC's today IT issues are still present.

It most definitley wasn't fixed at 2pm. I filed an FPS shortly after that, and got the response just after 4pm.

Filed five today. One went through after a couple of hours, one in a couple of minutes, another in about 30 minutes.

Still waiting for the other two.

All mine acknowledged now. The longest one took four hours.
