SA Return not yet acknowledged by HMRC

Return submitted on the infamous 4 January 2018

Didn't find your answer?

Does anyone else still have unacknowledged SA Submissions from 4 January 2018? Have since submitted more returns and received acknowledgements. Just one still polling for an acknowledgement from HMRC. On 6 January HMRC posted that they were dealing with these and not to resubmit. Anyone got any further information.

Do I need to contact Online Support with all guns blazing - I almost hope so!

I haven't. But, if I was toey, I'd just resubmit as an amended return, with some trivial amendment to an address or summat, and see if I had better luck with that.

An amendment will be rejected if no original return has yet been recorded.

I think I'll leave it another couple of days and then it will be all guns blazing time - I'll build myself up into a Ragin' Fury like Captain Hurricane used to :-)

Why be cross with the phone staff?

Be nice to the poor sods who work at HMRC.

its the berks who cant look after the IT that are the issue.

You will do a lot better by talking quietly and listening than trying to shout at 'em.

All mine have gone through now.

Could you look them up and see if a Return has been accepted per HMRC online agent login thingamyjig?

If it says Return received 4/1/18 (or any other date) print and forget, surely?

Must be 'user error'.

Decided to speak to HelpDesk today as still not showing as having been received. Waited for 20 minutes for a reply and then was told that they had not received the return - Doh! Told that they thought all of the 4 January returns had now gone through so it must be an error with my software. Strange how subsequent returns have gone through with no problems.

I give up.
