SA302, What do we do now?

SA302 request

Didn't find your answer?

Okay so in the past you could call up and HMRC would send you a SA302, our commercial software doesnt provide it, what do you awebbers do?

Surely it shouldnt be this hard.. Hopefully I've missed something simple!

Thanks in advance

What commercial software are you using?

All that I have ever looked at provide an SA302.

Taxfiler, oh, maybe I'm mistaken then.

You can get SA302s from within TaxFiler.

If this is in connection with a mortgage application the lender will need those SA302s together with a print of the client's tax year overview printed from within the SA online system.

Have you got handover information enough to recreate the tax comps in Taxfiler? Provided the tax due agrees with the tax overviews, I would think it would suffice?

The council of morgage lenders have demed that accountants software can take the place of SA302s but many lenders do not know that. They will usually accept accountants software print out with an original covering letter.

Yes you can get SA302's through easy online access on your HMRC account - either a personal account or as an agent

Not if you have submitted with commercial software.

Thanks all.

I tried to look at the annual tax summary but there seems to be a technical error. I also cannot view the calculation and return, perhaps this is due to commercial software being used before as mentioned above.

Sadly, I only have a copy of last years return from the previous accountants.

Called HMRC they are clearly having IT issues, so are going to post them.
