sage 50 v25.

How do i get in sage when it the password is wrong and the answer to my security question is wrong.

I recently upgaded my sage to sage 50 version 25 (we have recently upgraded to windows 10)..It asked me to create a password and a security question which I did.  The first time I used it all was good I worked for a whole day backed it up, but when I cam back the next day there were problems.  It would not let me in (I cannot remember why) so I recreated the company and went in to restore the data.  It would not restore.  Now I cannot get in at all it says incorrect password and when I try to change the password asks you to the answer to your security question (I created this question) but it states it is wrong.  Help what do I do now.  Paniking enough about lost data but will never know as I cannot get in.  Wish I had never bothered with the password......  Thank you......

You'd really need to speak to Sage at this point.

As for not bothering with a password, since v24 was released, you no longer have a choice, the program insists on a password for the MANAGER logon.

Hi

I use this when the password is forgotten a small fee but saves loads of time and it worked.

If you have a old back up you could reload V24 backup and use it

Yes it does highlight sage should be more secure.

Thank you all for your suggestions, I was going to contact sage today but my husband went in on Sat I am not sure what he did but he has sorted it and working on sage now. Not sure what had happened password was correct as was the security question oh well. Thank you all.

I have had this problem a couple of times with a client. Sage told me it could be casued by having CC (c**p cleaner) installed on the computer. It was fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling sage
