SAGE POOR SERVICE

Question on SAGE Email address

Didn't find your answer?

I subscribe to SAGE Client Manager. This month I noticed my monthly fee had increased from £119 to £138. I had not been notified by email. When I looked at my online portal I noticed they had an email address from 8 years ago. I tried to change this online however the system prevents this. Looking at help I was told I must either use online chat or telephone. I was on the online chat for over an hour and they said all had been changed and the update would take two hours. I have a script to prove this. I went online today and nothing has changed. Also queried why they didnt notify me about the DD, they said they tried to phone me to tell me and also emailed.

Question: what do you guys think about this. Surely it costs more for every customer to be phones than to send a letter.

Comment: I am disgusted with all Software Providors and with MTD coming what on earth will happen if they can't even sort a email address out.

I would expect that you would notify clients and suppliers, have an autoforward on the old address (or at least monitor it) and ensure that action was taken on any emails sent to the old address.

If this supplier still has an eight year old email address, how have you been receiving invoices etc? Does login require an email address?

Oh and printing and mailing a letter costs about £1. An offshore call centre can probably reach customers for less than half this.
