I am an accountant in practice and have restored a clients' data into my Sage 50 program, when I try to log on I get the message the data was last used with version 18.1.0.8, you are currently using version 18.0.10.208, do you wish to check for updates? When I answer yes, the program then says checking for updates, the message is then that you are up to date. When OK is clicked the program closes. When I try to log in again, the same message appears and the same merry go round, until I click OK and then the program closes.
Has anyone else had this annoying problem?
Please help from a very frustrated accountant.

Watermark.xml
There is a file called watermark.xml in the folder that contains the data (the folder that has the accdata folder and the report folders etc)
Log out of Sage, delete the watermark.xml file and then restart it and it should be OK
