No, I put my clients details down as the contact on all the ones I submitted. I have asked them to let me know if they hear but none have as yet.

What did they want to know from you?

Check address and PAYE ref - I got him to give me the first three digits as some basic verification that he was genuine.

I certainly wouldn't put my clients contact details down as it was us as there accountants who actually calculated what they could claim.
Had a security check for a client with a £25k plus claim and it was absolutely straight forward.

May I ask what the value of the claim was? from what others have said it seems to be the higher value ones they are calling about.

My thoughts too. It was well into five figures. The biggest I've submitted so far.

Yes we had one this morning. It was quite a high claim.Put the clients down as contacts. Are you joking. They'd have the police round to most of them if we let them talk to HMRC!
