Selling a business

Selling a business

A client has asked whether I can recommend any business sales agents. Apparently a friend of his has some sort of franchise business she wishes to sell (she's the franchisor).

I can't recommend anyone due to having had no dealings with any of them - can anyone else? Apart from the fact it's a franchise, I have no idea what the business actually does, I'm afraid.

Beer Mergers

I haven't used them so can't recommend them, but they email me fairly regularly and seem to cover a market between the small pubs and retail businesses and the bigger businesses where the sale is often dealt with by corporate finance departments.

I'd  be interested to know if anyone else has first hand experience of Beer Mergers.

A plug for myself
I have run a business transfer agency along side the accountacy firm for years. Have sold everything from a Sellotape round (I kid you not) to a very large chemicals business.

Happy to sign a non compete with you and and intro agreement.

PM me.

Steve

Not too late... TaxAssist case an opportunity?

I have just read the article on TaxAssist doing an MBO with some of their Franchisees

https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/article/taxassist-franchisees-complete-m...

Is it worth suggesting this approach too you client? I commented on the TaxAssist story and referenced a consultant one of my clients has used that works with franchisors and franchisees to promote collaborative working. I am guessing she might be interested to help...
