Service unavailable

Unable to post answers

Didn't find your answer?

A bit of a silly question, since anyone suffering the same problem will be unable to answer, but is anyone else experiencing difficulty in posting responses? All I get is "service unavailable".

Thanks to the respondents below. For obvious reasons I can't reply in the usual fashion, but it is odd that I can post a question but not an answer, which suggests that it is not an IP address issue.

Its happened to me before, I think the system decided I posted too much and was spamming or similar. Send a private message to Richard or Tom and they should unblock it.

Not presently.
However often happens if I am posting from home, just happens randomly but once it occurs it sticks for a day or so.
Don't think it's anything to do with your account, probably your IP address is getting temporarily blocked by SIFTS's server because if I am blocked at home I can still remote in to the office & post just fine.

Don't worry Wilson Philips. In the words of your namesakes, hold on. Things'll go your way.

I've published your comment which for some reason got caught in our over-enthusiastic spam filter. Ping me a message if you encounter more issues.

I have had this. I try to stay away from spamming people about how brilliant my software is and concentrating on answering questions and making useful points - even if people disagree with them from time to time, but every so often I get these which can be a nuisance if I have just typed a detailed response.

Hi John, I did spot an unpublished comment from you, too. I hit publish on that comment. Hopefully that shouldn't happen again, but if it does, just give me a nudge.
