signing in to HMRC as an agent

I don't understand why it is so difficult to sign in to the Agent Services Account. I keep getting to the page where it says sign in or sign up, but when you continue, it seems to be only for signing up, and then it says I am already signed up.  Even the old agent login page keeps coming up with offputting messages, like we are too busy today. The helpdesk agreed that the information was misleading and explained how to do it. It seems rather convoluted, not like normal commercial sites. Can someone provide an address for this service, or explain how to access it?

I'm with you!

Sometimes the link works, other times it asks me questions as if trying to set up again, it's so frustrating!

HMRC really need to sort it out!

Sometimes you have to log in and then again copy and paste the link into your browser and it will suddenly appear. It’s frustrating.
