Silver v HMRC

HMRC had until 18 June to appeal the decision.

Didn't find your answer?

Does anyone know if HMRC have lodged an appeal?

Thanks for the updates Tim. Has there been any indication of when this appeal will be heard?

I have looked at it and it won't go to the CoA yet. There does appear to be a case tracker for the upper tribunal

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/upper-tribunal-tax-and-chance...

From time to time I do lay advocacy on a pro bono basis normally in the appellate courts. I have prepared documentation for cases that the appellant won in the EAT, CoA (civil) and CoA (criminal) although all I have managed to get in ECtHR is accelerated proceedings and admissibility.

I have not personally dealt with the upper tribunal.

The Tribunals service has now asked for "dates to avoid" for December 2019 through May 2020. We're getting closer ...
