Hi, We're opening a small 1 store comic books & collectables shop soon but are having some trouble deciding which software to use to manage it all. It doesn't seem like there are any cheap all-in-one solutions. E.g. We wanted to use Unicenta OPOS for the till management, but this doesn't allow us to keep track of supplier & purchase orders easily. It also doesn't let you input other expenses. 

What is the best way to do this? Use other software in conjunction with POS software? E.g. Sage One Online Accounts and just mark in each days sales from the POS software in the ledger? I have been looking at countless different software packages but none seem to incorporate everything or if they do they cost thousands per year which isn't suitable for us yet as startup costs are high enough as it is!

POP is going to be the biggest problem

How important is Purchase Order Processing.

I suspect that you will find a better range of options if you are able to drop this requirement.

A Cloud based POS option might present you with a better short term option. Yes there is a charge, but you will have support and your initial outlay might be less.

It will give you time to establish your business, and give you a way of testing your needs before making any significant investment.
