I thought that, upon browsing to the website, there might be a big 'claim here' button.
If there is, I cannot find this.
(note this is as a direct employer rather than agent)

You can find it by logging into your .gov account and accessing via your PAYE service.
Use the link on this page:-

Should be able to see a claim option here - no surprises though, it's already broken. It waits until you put in all the details manually then tells you they're experiencing technical difficulties and there's no way to save your progress so you have to spend the time filling it in manually every time you want to see whether it's working or not.
I think you can just go back and just keep submitting the data is stored as I can see

Or you can go into the client you are claiming for and Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme pops up on the list on the right hand side.
I did successful claims for 3 companies, one person furloughed on each but then dared to try to do a claim for 4 furloughed employees and got the error message
"The number of furloughed employees cannot be more than the number of employees you operate PAYE for"
The company employs 6 staff....grrr! Will wait and try again later.
You need to go here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-for-wages-through-the-coronavirus-job-...
