Software alternatives

Looking for software for practice

Didn't find your answer?

Hi,

I am looking for internal software providers as an alternative to Xero & freeagent. This is to ensure that I have more control over data produced as I currently having issues with Xero regarding a client who wants access to his data and I want to ensure that I am no in this situtation again. Thanks.

Me confused. You have a client wanting access to their Xero data? Why is that a problem? It being based in the cloud is a key benefit as both you/they can have access to the live data at any time.

She has not paid and I have removed access.

Is she trying to reinstate it now? I have just disengaged from a client and, if they don’t transfer the licence by next month, then I am planning to cancel. Xero are charging me a cancellation fee which is annoying.

I am not sure how easy it will be to get the account reinstated but it is up to the ex client to sort it.

We hold most FreeAgent licences directly and have not had a problem. You can get the client to engage directly if you wish (and they get the first 6 months free).

Unsure exactly how Xero do things, but with FreeAgent you can simply remove the account from your dashboard. This means you no longer get charged for it (but you also lose access), they'll get a 2 week free trial, then need to pay for it themselves if they want to continue with it.

That is also my experience. Or you just mark the account as inactive before the next billing period.

Xero appears to be different so there is no incentive for me to engage directly, clients can sign up directly from now on.

denying the client data access to their data is a very bad solution
