Staffology P11D problem

Staffology not calculating Loan benefit correctly

Didn't find your answer?

Does anybody here use Staffology for P11D's?  The P11D is not this software's best feature but worse than that the 2021-22 loan benefit calcuation is using 2.5% when it should be 2%.  I've reported it to them but while they acknowledge the bug and say they have passed it on to their developers they're being rather uncommunicative and won't tell me when they'll have it sorted.  This is not ideal given the approaching deadline for filing these monsters!  Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and has had any helpful communication with Staffology or am I alone in this boat?!

Staffology have now come back and said if no issues during testing the fault 'should' be fixed in 2 weeks which effectively takes me to around 6th June. Very disappointing.

I will agree to finding some short-comings in the Staffology P11D service. Recently notice an issue with 'amounts made good'.

However, 2 weeks to fix a bug? I actually find that to be quite good! Some of other providers have bugs that are not fixed for months!*

Admittedly, the software should have been correct and fully tested on day 1 BUT a 2-week resolution (in good time for the deadline) is not bad. Indeed, prior experience may suggest the bug is corrected much quicker than estimated!

* For some others, 2 weeks to actually respond to your query, let alone offer a 'fix date' is going some!

And the 'delay' is "if no issues during testing" ... which means they're trying to ensure that it's not 'one step forward, two back'.
[Might not sound much but in those not long distant days when test harnesses weren't common - it wasn't unusual for every 'fix' to break something else!]

OP is in danger of damning them whether they do or don't make amends.

Not 'in danger' of damning them. I am damning them! I told them about the issue 8 days ago so 3 week fix all in. Seems a tad too long to me for fixing this particular issue but hey ho!

Claire

Thank you for updating this thread.

I will say that, whilst Staffology is not (yet) the most robust payroll system on the market (although it has some features that I find to be superior), I find the support and technical development side to be extremely efficient!

Just one quick query while you're on... is there anything in the pipeline to enable a payroll FPS (receipt) to be downloaded as PDF? I know this has been added for CIS but it would be great to have something similar for the payroll side. A 'screen print' doesn't look great.

Thanks again!

(Incidentally, and for the record, I'm not linked to Staffology or Iris even though I did give a testimonial some time back.)

Happy to say this has indeed now been fixed ahead of schedule so I can now crack on. :-)
