State Aid tax treatment for Corporation Tax

State Aid tax treatment

Didn't find your answer?

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some very top level advice regarding state aid. One of my clients has received a large amount of state aid in the year.

I have not dealt with State aid before, my thinking is that state aid has an allowance and the remainder will need to be taxed at the normal UK corporation Tax rate.

Any advice or prior experience would be more then welcome.

Suggest your first step would be to go and do some research, and come back with any specific points you have an issue with.

I don't think anyone is going to give you a 4 hour tutorial on potential accounting and tax treatments.

My thinking is that you are making rules up as you go along.

Tell me if I'm wrong.

Lick finger. Poke into sky. Feel wind.

Interesting. Can you provide a link to your source for this?

OP, the above replies might seem harsh. After all, had you asked your question without including your "thinking", you'd've (rightly) been reprimanded for making no effort.

But you've faked it. Do as ire-ally suggests. Come back (if you need to) when you have a question pertaining to the case in point.
