Stock control system needed.
We have a business thats sells medical equipment and implants. Each implant needs to be tracked from purchase to stock to sale. Each piece of equipment needs to be tracked as it moves around from the factory to the reps or perhaps being on loan in a hospital.
Can anyone recommend a stock system that can track lot numbers and serials numbers, expiry dates and locations?

Hi
Have a look at Sapmanv12; I have an interest in that it is a client of mine & some of my clients also use this software.
If you have a look at their website ( sapmanv12.co.uk) on the “who we do it for” you can scroll down to Pennine Healthcare – among their likes they list your requirements.
As requested it tracks from purchase order through : GRN to Purchase Invoice through stock to despatch & sales invoice.
It typically links to Sage Accounts (50 or 200); the important thing is it uses its own POP, SoP & Stock & not the Sage Modules – so you get full trace-ability and multiple locations – even with Sage50. It updates Sage’s Purchase & Sales Ledgers to avoid dual keying.
It also copes with packs – where you may package several stock items together to create a new line.
If I can help further give me a shout but check out their website
Not an expert but it strikes me that the main problem is going to be keeping the information updated; so what happens when the rep takes one from factory stock? Do they scan a barcode? Sign for it?
