I keep changing my email preferences to once a day yet you are bombarding me with emails on 'what I have missed' - I've given up being interested! I want updates once a day in a summary (daily digest) or else you can just go away! I dont have time for this!!

I know the new site is a load of crap, but you do need to give them time to sort bugs like the ones you refer to.
If this was how software was released to us then the supplier would soon go out of business as we switched to another supplier. Unfortunately there is no competition for aweb so they can pretty much make an unmitigated mess of things and ignore our complaints without any real comeback. Quite simply we have nowhere else to go.
Well, not until FirstTab adds an "Any Answers" section to his externally hosted blog :-)
So there is a business opportunity for someone.
Maybe I ought to suggest to my son that when he is not developing software for the various entities/quangos, who use his employer's services, he could knock up a website as a "nice little earner". There are three or four of his university contemporaries, all Comp Science graduates, now working in Edinburgh, so amongst them maybe a part time business opportunity. Then again as he never has the time to even help with my own (currently non existent) website I suspect the venture will flounder before it even starts :-)
