Subcontractor accommodation costs paid by company

Can we book the cost of accommodation and transport that we have purchased for a subcontractor?

Didn't find your answer?

Case:

The LTD company has only 1 director employed, who accounts for the delegation at the Worldwide Subsistence Rates.

Additionally, the company uses a subcontractor. The Company shall cover travel and accommodation costs of the subcontractor. Company has invoices for hotel and transportation.

Can a company book the costs of a subcontractor's overnight accommodation, which is paid for by the company?

Company can generally do whatever the directors have authorised, so one assumes “yes” is the answer.

Thank you for your answer.

Can I claim the cost of subcontractors' accommodation as a tax deductible expense?

Would have thought so, assuming that was the agreement made with the subcontractor.
