I used to work at a small 2-partner firm which was part of a top 20 franchise/network in South Manchester.

We used to pay £20-£25/hr for experienced accountants & £12-£15 for bkprs. The best freelance bkpr that I’ve ever worked with was paid £22 at my firm before that. Now though, I get charged £33 by a bkpg agency.

think you will struggle to pay a qualified accountant less than £35/hr

I assist a few other practices as a subcontractor getting jobs to TB stage.

Normally I charge a percentage of the job so you have certainty on the cost.

If i can be of help please let me know.

Thanks

Hi Gian
Do you still do subcontracting for accountants? Where are you based? Please get in touch if you are looking for work.
Thanks

I'm a bookkeeper & charge £25 per hour + VAT - though I don't count the minutes & normally err on the side of the client (so you get more time than you are charged for). If it's ongoing work or guaranteed number of hours or something like that, sometimes negotiate a bulk rate or retainer which works out a bit less. I'm based in Bedford, so a bit further south than you. Hope that helps.
