Received my personal PAYE coding notice for 2016/17 in post yesterday. Redesigned from the previous format. It's wrong (no surprise there) so I have to contact HMRC to change it. There is now a facility on the HMRC website to notify HMRC of errors on the code online, rather than phone or letter, but one of the mandatory fields is the Tax Reference and, surprise surprise, this is not on the new style forms. Obviously I can get that from other sources, but just seems crazy to omit such basic information from the new style form, especially when the website facility says it should be on there.
Anyone else received the new style forms without the PAYE reference? Or is it just me?
