Tax regulations affecting incorporated actors

Actors and Limited Companies

An actor client of mine has been spooked by a friend telling him that he has had to dissolve his limited company which was the vehicle for his acting services due to new tax regulations.

I have searched the Internet and nothing is jumping out at me. As far as I can tell, there is still a small tax advantage in an actor being incorporated.

The friend is possibly referring to last year's FTT decision which found that actors working behind limited companies were caught by the intermediaries legislation for NIC purposes.
