What sort of advice? If you're not even sure if there is a taxable benefit or not you really need to advise your client to look for tax advice elsewhere.
Really?
You're providing accounting and tax services and (a) don't know about company car benefits and (b) lack the wherewithal to find the answer for yourself*?
I do not mean to be rude but it rather suggests that you're lacking some fairly basic knowledge for your line of business.
* hint: try gov.uk
Wow! I wish I never asked now...
I do know all about company benefits and car fuel benefit charges and have always done so. It may have sounded like a stupid question but I just wanted to confirm that the same rules apply to cars that are leased rather than owned by the company.
Thank you for your response anyway, albeit rather rude.
It's a car provided by the company to the employee, so yes they do if it's not exempt for any other reason
Why didn't you say so?!
Apparently not.
You question was far too open and wasn't even a question.
She is not of a Wise-Bent in basic tax matters, or in the ability to phrase a question properly.
Are they pool cars? What do you think the taxable benefit would be?
Are you simply asking for fee quotes? Else I really don't get the question.
