Practice managment

Didn't find your answer?

having only just received access to practice management, I have to say that I'm very disappointed by it and can't believe that we've waited so long for so little

It seems very clunky to use and and is only really for internal use - pretty much useless for a small / one man practice

We'd hoped that it would include auto requests for client data, for tax returns, VAT returns etc but this doesnt seem possible

Would be interested to see what others think and if there are any suitable alternatives out there

Same impression here. As a sole practioner (and if you think that their target market is small practices), i think they wasted their resources. I am not going to use it as its not providing any value compared to the organisation systems in have. I was expecting filing reminders, records request automation, perhaps various useful letters inc. engagement. i see no reason dumping my own systems to which were have been used so many uears to spend time on this.

Seems the person who thought of that has no real knowledge of how small practices operate and what they need.

Yep another sole practitioner here gonna stick with my spreadsheet-based "to-do" list.

Also looking forward to the p!ss-take price hike at renewal time.

After I saw it I decided to jump ship. We waited almost a whole year for that?

If that's all it was going to be, I'd rather they had spent the time on customisable account headings.

Part of me wonders if they originally had a better PM in mind but then it was watered down during the IRIS buyout?

May I ask which ship you jumped to - I'm looking to change accounts and tax software as currently using Taxcalc but gone part time so cost is a bit hefty now I'm a one man band. I was looking at Taxfiler last year, didn't know it had been bought by Iris and I'm not a fan of theirs.

I agree. Rather than adding functionality, it has cluttered up the software with a bunch of useless lists that could be found more easily before they started!

It is a pathetic attempt and calling it a ‘practice management’ suite is just ridiculous.

And the pie charts are gone. Sad.

Some would say those were more useful than the new system introduced

I don’t understand how it works. If I go to jobs it still has the CT600s I submitted this week, do I have to mark the Job as completed? If so what is the point of the integrated system?
