Taxfiler and FRS102A

How to meet requirement to notify Registrar of shareholder consenf to prepare abridged accounts?

Didn't find your answer?

In order to prepare abridged accounts it is a requirement of the The Companies, Partnerships and Groups (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2015 that consent of all shareholders is obtained, and for this consent to be conveyed to the Registrar. I don't see a way of doing this in Taxfiler, which also seems to assume that abridged accounts will be prepared and doesn't appear to offer the option to produce full FRS102 accounts.

I know Taxfiler is popular so wonder if I'm missing something?

It sounds like you are missing something indeed. The default in Taxfiler is full accounts (not abridged) so I think you are doing something wrong. I rarely produce abridged accounts, but if abridged accounts are selected then Taxfiler will add the relevant note on shareholder consent to the balance sheet automatically.

Thank you Tim, I went back over the setup and found the option to abridge, which works perfectly.
